Create a Set to identify volunteers based on their Email Preferences
Most Internet service providers (ISP) compile blacklists of organizations that send spam emails as part of their efforts to prevent abuse. To avoid being placed on these, Volgistics requires that all emails sent through the system include an opt-out link that recipients can click to specify the types of email (such as newsletters, recruitment appeals, announcements, etc.) they receive from your organization. The email preferences that volunteers select appear on the Profile tab of their volunteer record.
While you can always review an individual volunteer’s email preferences by looking at his or her record, there are times when you may want to find all volunteers who have a certain preference. For example, if you want to find all volunteers that do, or do not, wish to receive volunteer newsletters. You can do this by creating a Set based on the “Their Email Set Rule” described in Help topic 1128.
