Tip of the Week September 25, 2023
Like any service that sends email, there are a variety of reasons why email from Volgistics may not make it to your volunteers’ inbox, or why it might end up in their spam folder. If the message is rejected by the receiving system, and they give us a reason, you’ll see information about it on the volunteer’s History tab.
To give your messages the best chance of making it through, there are two settings in Volgistics you can check:
- Choose Setup from the menu.
- Expand Messages.
- Click Ground Rules.
- Under Email authentication choose Let Volgistics handle Sender ID (recommended).
- Under From address select Use VolunteerMail@volgistics.com as the from address (recommended).
- Click the Save button to save your changes.
These settings make email messages less likely to be rejected or considered spam. Your volunteers are unlikely to notice any difference in the messages you send, although they will receive more of them, and replies will still go to your email address directly.
