Software Developer
We are looking for an additional Developer to help maintain, test, and expand the feature set of our online volunteer management application. The ideal Developer has a willingness to learn, support current methodologies, and recommend new technologies consistent with the company's objectives. This person also must be focused on quality and preventing coding errors, since those errors could impact over 6 million users.
At Volgistics, you will:
- Work on-site with other members of the Development Team
- Work with the Support Team to identify and address bugs reported by customers
- Create new software features based on feature specifications
- Research new technologies and methodologies
- Assist in quality assurance and bug testing for new build releases
Required Skills:
- Compiled language experience
- Experience with object-oriented design methodology
- Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Show good problem-solving abilities
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Beneficial Skills:
- Experience with Angular or other front-end frameworks such as React or Vue.js
- Experience with the TypeScript language
- Experience with the Delphi (Pascal) language
- Familiarity with Pervasive PSQL / Btrieve databases
- Knowledge of Git and experience working with services like GitHub or GitLab in a team environment
- Experience with CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) as seen with tools like Travis CI, CircleCI, Jenkins, GitHub Workflows, or GitLab Pipelines.

Customer Support Specialist
The Support Team is a very valuable part of the company and our direct contact with users of the software. Support Team members work between our Development Team and our users to ensure that any new software meets our strict quality standards. Members of the Support Team take the insight they receive while answering questions to drive our development agenda and make sure that new features meet user expectations.
After an in-depth training period, the chosen candidate will be resposible for a variety of tasks including:
- Responding to customer inquiries via an online messaging system
- Providing customers with live online demonstrations of the software
- Online private training sessions with customers
- Testing new changes to the software
To succeed in this role, candidates should:
- Demonstrate excellent business writing skills
- Possess better-than-average level of computer skills
- Work well on a team and independently
- Show good problem solving abilities
- Enjoy the challenge of researching complex issues
- Have the ability to learn and retain new information
- Be patient, understanding, and empathetic to customer's needs
