Search Based on Stop Date¶
This help topic explains how to define a Set rule based on the stop date recorded on the History tab. By default, this date reflects when a volunteer record was first given an Inactive Status; however, stop dates can be customized by Volgistics system operators.
You create Set rules on the Set Definition page:
- Choose Sets from the menu
- Click the Create a new set button.
- Select Their stop date from the Include volunteers in this set based on drop down list.
- Click Continue.
This Set rule can capture volunteers whose stop date is any date, a specific date, in a specified range of dates or months, at least a certain number of days ago, not more than a certain number of days ago, or blank.
Any Date¶
Choose the "Any date" option to capture all volunteers with any stop date recorded on their History tab.
In¶
Use the second option to pull volunteers with a stop date in a specific month and/or in a specific year. For instance, setup the Their stop date Set rule as shown below to include in a Set only the volunteers who have a stop date in any month in the previous year
By choosing to include volunteers with a stop date in any month in the previous year you can run the same report for this same Set of volunteers each year and Volgistics will pick up only volunteers with stop dates in the year prior to the year the report is run.
Exactly / Any Time Before / Any Time After / Not¶
Volunteers with a stop date of a specific date, or any date prior to or after a specific date, can be included in a Set with the third Their stop date Set rule option. The following example shows a Set rule that would pull all volunteers with a stop date anytime before November 15, 2007.
Anytime Between¶
If a system operator is not sure of a volunteer's stop date, but they know that their stop date was during a given work week, they might use the fourth option to include all volunteer records with a stop date anytime between a range of dates. In the image below, the Set rule will capture all volunteers with a stop date between December 3rd and December 7th, 2007.
More Than XX Day(s) Ago¶
The "More than XX day(s) ago" option pulls those volunteers with stop dates more than the specified number of days ago, as of the date the Set is used. Therefore, like the any month in the previous year selection in the second option above, the same Set used at different times will pull different groups of volunteers.
Not More Than XX Day(s) Ago¶
The Not more than XX day(s) ago option pulls those volunteers with stop dates not more than specified number of days ago, as of the date the Set is used. Again, the same Set used at different times will pull different groups of volunteers.
Blank¶
Finally, the Their stop date Set rule can include volunteers in a Set when they do not have a stop date recorded on the History tab.
