Search Based on Spare Dropdown Field

This help topic explains how to define a Set rule based on any of the Spare dropdown fields that appear on the Profile tab.

You create set rules on the Set Definition page. If you're not already on the Set Definition page you can get there by choosing Sets from the menu, and then clicking the Create a new set button.

To create a set of volunteers based on any of the spare dropdown fields select the desired field from the Include volunteers in this set based on dropdown list.

For example, an organization may have customized a spare dropdown field to track their volunteers' highest level of education and titled the field Highest Level of Education. In this case, they'd select Their Highest Level of Education from the dropdown list. The following image depicts the rule set up for a Set of volunteers who have a college degree.

Alternatively, there may be a need to exclude volunteers with a specific spare dropdown field entry. In the Education example, there might be a need to exclude all volunteers with the entry of Did not complete high school. The image below shows how to define such a rule.
