Search Based on Flag¶

This help topic explains how to define a Set rule based on whether or not a volunteer has a specific Flag.

You create Set rules on the Set Definition page. If you're not already on the Set Definition page you can get there by choosing Sets from the menu, and then clicking the Create a new set button.

To create a Set of volunteers based on volunteer Flags, select Their flags from the Include volunteers in this set based on dropdown list.

The Their flags Set rule includes volunteers in the Set based on the Flags listed on the Core tab in the volunteer record. This rule can include volunteers who have or do not have any of the Flags tracked by your organization. You can learn more about using Flags in the Type and Flag Field Settings help topic.

Their Flags include any of these...¶

Choose this option to include volunteers who have any of the Flags you specify. In the example below, the rule would capture all volunteers who have Regular and/or RSVP Flags.

Their Flags do not include any of these...¶

Choose this option to include volunteers who do not have the Flags you have marked. In the image that follows, the rule would pick up all volunteers who do not have the Telephone Pioneer Flag. In other words, volunteers with the Regular, Auxiliary, and RSVP Flags would be included in a Set with this rule, along with volunteers without any Flags.
