List of All Set Rules¶
You can use the Volgistics Sets feature to define custom volunteer groupings, such as "everyone with more than 100 hours" or "all junior volunteers who served last year."
Sets are made up of one or more rules. Volgistics uses a Set's rules to determine which volunteers to include in the Set. For instance: you can create a Set rule that says...
"Only include volunteers in this Set if their birthday is in September"
With such a rule, your Set would include just volunteers who have September birthdays.
Set rules are based on specific fields of information in the database, and the values they contain. In the "September birthday" example, the rule is based on information in the Date of birth field.
(As a side note, the Volgistics "Date of birth" field does allow you to enter a month and day of birth without a year value. This is useful to organizations that want to track birthdays, but that don't ask volunteers to give their year of birth.)
Available Set Rules¶
You choose a Set's rules on the Set Definition page when you create or edit a Set.
Search by Phone Number
There is not a way to build a Set to look for a volunteer who has a certain phone number entered on his or her record. However, phone fields can appear on the Volunteers page and you can search by phone number there. You can find information on how to do this in the Find Volunteers by Phone Number help topic.
