Enter Training Dates for Multiple Volunteers

How Enter Training courses for Lots of Volunteers in One Step

If a number of volunteers all attended a training course that you track as using Class dates, you can record this for all of them at once. Simply tag the volunteers who attended the course, and then use the Tags feature to insert a training record for all of the tagged records in one step.

If you haven't done so already, start by adding the training activity you want to record training for to the Class event field on the History tab. For step-by-step instructions on how do this visit How do I track volunteer training?.

Once you have a Class event created for the training, you can record a date for it like this:

  1. Tag each of the volunteers who attended the course.
  2. Choose Tags from the menu.
  3. In the Add this Date to all of the tagged records section, make the following selections:
  4. Add a: Select "Class" from the drop down list
  5. Event: Choose the class the tagged volunteers attended
  6. Date: Enter the date of class
  7. Notation: select "Attended"
  8. Click the Go button.

The Dates box on the History tab will now show that the tagged volunteers each attended the selected training event on the date you specified. Anytime you use the Tag feature, be sure you clear the tags from the tagged records before you start another task using tags.

To clear the tags:

  1. Choose Tags from the menu.
  2. Click the Clear all tags button.
