Add Welcome Page Birthday List¶
You use the Birthday List page to setup the Volgistics birthday list features.

Use birthday lists¶
Check this checkbox if you want to use any of the Volgistics birthday list features. You must check this box to enable the birthday list, but the list can be hidden on an operator-by-operator basis. The Operator Specific Controls section of the Limit Operator Rights or Access help topic explains how to do this.
Update the birthday list...¶
Choose the frequency you want Volgistics to update the birthday list.
When you choose monthly, Volgistics generates a new birthday list on the first day of every month. The list will include all volunteers you want to appear on birthday lists, who have a birthday in the current month. This usually results in the longest birthday lists.
Choose weekly if you want Volgistics to generate a new birthday list every Sunday. The list will include all volunteers you want to appear on birthday lists who have a birthday in the current week (Sunday through Saturday).
Choose daily if you want Volgistics to generate a new birthday list every day. The list will include all volunteers you want to appear on birthday lists who have a birthday on the current day. This usually results in the shortest birthday lists.
Include volunteers in the list if their Status is any of these...¶
Use this option to select which Status(es) volunteers must have to appear on the list. For example, if you want to exclude volunteers who are inactive, do not check the Inactive Status.
Include volunteers on the list no matter what their Type is...¶
Include volunteers on the list only if their Type is one of these...¶
The Type field appears in the Name box on the Core tab of volunteer records. It is usually used to identify broad categories of volunteers such as Adult, Junior, Student, Community, and so forth.
Choose Include volunteers on the list no matter what their Type is... if you do not want to use the Type field to limit the volunteers that will appear on birthday lists.
If you only want volunteers with certain Types on the list, choose Include volunteers on the list only if their Type is one of these... and then check up to eight different Types you want to include.
Refresh¶
Click the Refresh button to refresh the birthday list now.
Volgistics will automatically refresh the birthday list based on the monthly, weekly, or daily frequency you choose. If you want to refresh the list sooner, click the Refresh button.
