Hours of Operation Settings¶
Hours of Operation
You can set your organization's hours of operation in Volgistics. Your hours of operation are the hours of the day volunteers typically serve.
Setting your hours of operation makes certain functions - such as scheduling and availability tracking - easier by listing only the times that occur during the hours you operate.
To set your hours of operation:
- Choose Setup from the menu.
- Expand Scheduling
- Select Ground Rules
- Under Hours of operation select the earliest time of day volunteers typically serve as the Start at time. Select the latest time of day volunteers typically end their service as the End at time. See the Start and End Time Settings box below if you need help deciding what to select.
- Click the Save button.
Start and End Time Settings
If your earliest volunteers typically start at 7:00 am and volunteers typically complete their service by 10:00 pm, use 7:00 am
as your Start at time and 10:00 pm
as your End at time. If volunteers serve around the clock, choose 12:00 am
as your Start at time and your End at time.
If your volunteers do not serve overnight, it's best to select the earliest time you typically schedule volunteers for your Start at time and the latest time volunteers serve as your End at time. This makes scheduling and availability tracking easier by eliminating all of the unnecessary times from the time dropdown lists on your schedule and availability fields.
