Qualifications Field (Description Tab) Settings

You can use the Qualifications field properties setup page to configure the Qualifications field on the Description tab in the Assignment record. To get to the Qualifications field setup page:

  1. Choose Setup from the menu
  2. Expand Field Options
  3. Select Description Tab
  4. Click Qualifications

Qualifications Field Details

Field location

This section indicates where the Qualifications field you are working with is located. In this case, the field is on the Assignment Description tab.

Field format

Information is stored in several types of fields in Volgistics. This section indicates that the Qualifications field is a text field.

Field name

This is the first place on the Qualifications field Properties setup page where a system operator can make any adjustments to the field. The field is called Qualifications by default. To change the name of the field, enter the name you would like.

Hidden

If the Hidden setting is set to No, the field will be shown on the tab. If the Hidden setting is set to Yes, the field will no longer show. When a field is hidden, System operators will not see the field or any information that may have been entered in it before the field was made hidden, but any information that may have been in the field before it was hidden will still be there if you later unhide the field.

Require an entry

If you select No it will be possible for the Qualifications field on the Description tab to be left blank in Volgistics. If you select Yes it will not be possible for this field to be left blank in Volgistics.

Default entry

If you want certain information to appear in this field by default, you can enter it here.

System operator rights

When Volgistics Administrators create new operator records they can assign one of three operator levels:

  • Administrator
  • Power user
  • Basic user

The user levels allow Administrators to control the operator's rights and access. For example, if the dropdown list by Basic users is set to View only, operators with the Basic user level could see what is recorded in the Qualifications field but not change it.
