Thank you for your interest in applying to the Humane Society of Central Oregon.

We are monitoring the COVID-19 situation closely, and at the current time, we are temporarily not accepting applications for the program or location that you have selected.

We understand many of our wonderful community members would love to share their time with us right now, especially because you have the time to give.

While we appreciate this very much, we are trying to weigh the needs of the shelter and the safety of our volunteers and community, therefore we are limiting the traffic in our shelter, spay/neuter clinic and thrift store. Unfortunately, that includes volunteer activity and trainings.

We will need your support when we are able to resume these activities, so please check back with us. We will reassess the situation on or about April 1st and ongoing after that. We sincerely appreciate your interest and support of HSCO.

Other ways to help right now:

1. Donate pet food and non-clumping cat litter: This will help members in our community faced with sudden layoffs and the hardship this creates. You can drop off food or litter at our shelter or any local food bank, as we are also working with them in providing their clients with animal food/supplies.

2. Donate funds: This will help us carry on the work we do, especially because we may see an increase in the amount of services our community needs during and after this health care crisis. You can donate through our secure website at www.hsco.org, give us a call at 541-382-3537 or pop it in the mail to HSCO, 61170 SE 27th St, Bend, OR 97702.

3. HSCO cares deeply about our community, please continue to keep yourself and your families safe. We hope to see you soon.

Thank you from the entire HSCO Team
