- Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA) Commission: Up to 2 openings
- Local Board of Appeal and Equalization (Board of Review): 2 openings

The Housing and Redevelopment Authority Commission is a 5-member commission that governs the activities of the Bloomington Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA). The HRA is established by state statute. The Mayor of Bloomington, with approval of the City Council, is responsible for appointing the HRA Board Commissioners. Visit blm.mn/hra for more information. Applicants are encouraged to be specific about their development experience or background in their responses to the application.
The Local Board of Review (Board of Appeal and Equalization) is a 5-member board that conducts hearings to make final property classification and assessment determinations. The board is established by City Code (Chapter 2, Article V). All members shall have experience as an appraiser, realtor, real estate attorney or property manager, or be otherwise familiar with real estate valuation in the city. Commissioners are appointed by a majority of the City Council. Applicants are encouraged to be specific about their real estate experience or background in their responses to the application.
