My name is Cathy Griggs and I am the Volunteer Coordinator. There are many ways you can support Culinary Angels. Here is a brief overview of our week so you can see when various tasks are implemented.
Saturdays: Garden Pick up from our partner gardens in late morning. (About an hour)
Sundays: Shoppers purchase ingredients and deliver back to the kitchen. (2+ hours)
Mondays: In kitchen: 2 shifts. 10am-1pm and 1-4:30 Bone Broth, Veggie Prep, Baking, Dishes/sanitizing
Tuesdays: In kitchen: 2 Shifts 10am-1pm and 3-5pm Cook and package meals, Dishes/sanitizing
Wednesdays: 2:30pm: Meal delivery bags filled.
3:00pm Delivery Angels pick up meal bags and deliver meals to recipients. (2hours)
All Volunteers will be asked to: Read and sign the Culinary Angels Volunteer Waiver
All volunteers working in the kitchen
Will be asked to submit to a Background check.
Will complete their Food Handlers Certification before working in the kitchen. Please go to www.servsafe.com to complete the course. Be sure to sign up for the California course. This course will cost you $15.00
Will need to read and sign the Culinary Angels Kitchen Volunteer Protocols.
All Volunteers who will be working as Delivery Angels, Shoppers, or Garden Pick up:
Must be 18 years or older.
Will be asked provide a copy of their valid CA Driver’s License.
Will be asked provide a copy of their proof of auto insurance card.
Will need to read and sign the Culinary Angels Personal Vehicle use policy
Once each of the steps are completed, you will be activated as a volunteer and be added to the schedule.
