Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the 47th Toronto International Film Festival (September 8-18, 2022).

Please complete this application form to start the registration process. Ensure that you have reviewed all sections carefully and filled in all required fields, as your application will be evaluated partially based on the quality of your answers to the required questions. When you are finished, click the 'Go' button to submit.

TIFF is committed to fostering an inclusive and accessible environment where everyone feels valued and respected, and where every volunteer has the opportunity to realize their potential. We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations, if required. If you are a person with a disability and require assistance during the application and/or orientation process, please contact us in advance at or 416-934- 5846, and we will work with you to meet your needs.

Please note that all Volunteers must:

– be 18 years of age or older as of September 1, 2022.

– be able to commit to a minimum of four (4) shifts for the 2022 Festival, with a limit of one shift per day. Shifts will be 4–8 hours in length. Shifts take place during the 11 days of the Festival, September 8-18.

– be confident in their communication skills and have a solid comprehension of English (knowledge of other languages is an asset)

Please be advised that successful applicants must complete orientation in July. Participation is required as the session will include important information related to volunteering at the Festival. We will be offering online orientation in July (with in-person options as required). Specific orientation dates and times will be confirmed via email at a later date.

Volunteer role options and shifts will be available to successful Volunteers on a first-come, first-served basis, dependent on when they complete orientation. For those who complete orientation at a later date, please be aware some roles and shift times may have already been filled. Completing the registration process is mandatory and TIFF cannot offer placement to applicants who have not completed the registration process.

The Toronto International Film Festival Volunteer Programme is proudly sponsored by Cineplex Entertainment.
