Volunteer Agreement
I confirm that the information I have provided is correct and true. I understand that if my interests match the needs of Cat Care Society at the present time, I will be contacted for orientation and training. I also understand that there will be a $25.00 charge upon entering the program which covers a Volunteer Shirt and Name Badge.
Cat Care Society is a limited admission shelter that encourages the participation of volunteers who support our mission. Cat Care Society operates a limited admission cage-free shelter for homeless and abused cats while providing community outreach programs to enrich the lives of both people and cats. The undersigned recognizes that he/she may be exposed to hazards as a result of entry on to the premises of Cat Care Society from the cats, the premises or other individuals. Nevertheless, the undersigned does hereby knowingly and willingly, fully and forever, RELEASE AND DISCHARGE CAT CARE SOCIETY, its agents, directors, employees, successors and all parties of interest, from all known claims and causes of action to person or property, now or which may arise. Cat Care Society also reserves the right to photograph volunteers in the course of performing volunteer tasks, for the purpose of using those photos in Cat Care Society related newsletters and/or web pages. In addition, the undersigned agrees to uphold all CCS policies and procedures. Cat Care Society provides a safe and comfortable environment for cats accepted into the shelter. All cats considered adoptable will remain as residents of the shelter until they are adopted or humanely euthanized. Cat Care Society does not practice routine euthanasia to create space for more cats; however, there are certain instances when staff believes it is more important to stop the suffering rather than save the lives of cats. The decision to euthanize will be made by the Director of Medical Care and veterinarian staff after an examination of the cat and a determination of the quality of life experienced by the cat. When it is determined that the cat will experience needless suffering in order to keep him/her alive, the cat will be humanely euthanized. By signing below, you agree to all of the above procedures and any others currently in place at Cat Care Society, as well as any future procedures or procedural changes.
