Thank you for your interest in Volunteering for the 2022 GoPro Mountain Games.

VOLUNTEERS WILL RECEIVE

  • Swag Bag with a volunteer shirt and hat
  • Lunch, when volunteering
  • An invitation to the GoPro Mountain Games Kickoff on June 6

DESCRIPTIONS OF VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

  • Athlete/VIP/Media Registration:  Check-in registered athletes, VIP sponsors, and Media guests via a computerized program at the walk-up ticket windows at Golden Peak. This is an indoor volunteer position requiring basic computer skills. Volunteers are asked to sign-up for a minimum of four shifts.
  • Banner Crew - Install and remove sponsor, partner and event banners, signage and (limited) partner branded fencing at all GoPro Mountain Games venues. This is an outdoor volunteer position requiring attention to detail and is hands-on.
  • Product Team:  Sort product received, Inventory product received and maintained daily, Organize product, Pre Pack Volunteer, Athlete, and VIP Gift Bags and Distribute Volunteer, Athlete and VIP Gift Bags
  • Run and Bike Events: Course marshals, aid stations and timing support. This is an outdoor volunteer position.
  • Spectator Services: This is an outdoor position stationed in different areas around Vail. It requires the ability to stand for long periods and an excitement to engage with the public. This role is tasked with providing information, answering questions, distributing schedules (or other information-based materials), and creating excitement about the Mountain Games and all the event has to offer. This team will also help support activations and events (such as youth slackline, the SUP pool, youth climbing wall  and yoga) by collecting participant waivers, checking in and wristbanding participants and monitoring the youth slackline and public SUP pool activation areas. Assist with the pedestrian/guest crossing alongside our traffic team in Vail Village
  • Sustainability:  Here’s your chance to make a REAL difference and support Walking Mountains and GoPro Mountain Games in their sustainability efforts. The simple goal is to limit the amount of trash going to the landfill by providing guidance and hands-on assistance for guests disposing items at the Zero Hero Tents. Guests will be placing items into the containers but volunteers may need to sort and handle trash/recycling/compost items as they redirect refuse to the appropriate containers. This is an outdoor volunteer position. Training and gloves will be provided.
  • Transportation: Drive event-supplied vehicles for food pick-up, miscellaneous event errands, and staff support. This is an indoor and outdoor volunteer position.
  • Venue Security: This position works with our security team on access control, at perimeter entrance and exit points in Vail Village, Lionshead and Golden Peak. This is an outdoor position.
  • VIP |  Athlete Hospitality: Check Wristbands. Assist with hospitality. Indoor/Outdoor Volunteer Position.
  • Volunteer Headquarters (HQ): Check in volunteers (using a computer). Assist with volunteer lunches. This is an indoor volunteer position

Please share this with your friends, family, and colleagues. If you would like to create a team we will do our best to have you all volunteering in the same area.
