Background Check Authorization

All volunteer applicants/group leaders over the age of 18 must consent to a criminal background check before they can volunteer. In addition, all applicants are screened through the NSOPW (National Sex Offender Public Website).

An applicant’s criminal background history will not automatically disqualify the applicant from volunteering at the Mission; however, the nature of, number, and recency of the conviction(s), as well as the nature of the volunteer opportunity for which the applicant is applying, will be taken into account during the approval process. In the interest of fulfilling our mission, as well as the safety and well-being of those whom we are called to serve, Lighthouse Mission Ministries reserves the right to deny any individual from serving as a volunteer.

Note: if you do not authorize, you will be unable to volunteer
