Mission Statements of MCC and Thrift:

As a network of not-for-profit Thrift Shops, we support the local and global relief, development and peace projects of the Mennonite Central Committee.

MCC's mission states: "Mennonite Central Committee (MCC), shares God’s love and compassion for all in the name of Christ by responding to basic human needs and working for peace and justice. MCC envisions communities worldwide in right relationship with God, one another and creation."

The primary purpose of MCC Thrift Shops in Ontario is to raise funds for MCC. Other objectives as we live out our faith are:
• To practice and promote stewardship through responsible use and re-use of resources
• To sell quality donated items at reasonable cost
• To help alleviate poverty by providing affordable goods
• To offer opportunities for service in aid of MCC and thereby strengthen interpersonal and inter-church relationships
• To foster awareness of the mission of MCC

All Thrift Shop Volunteers are asked to respect MCC's mission statement. If you feel that you are able to volunteer in a manner that is respectful of our Mission Statement then please indicate so by checking the "I Agree" box below.
