CODE OF CONDUCT CONSENT - Please read carefully

Your offer to volunteer your services is truly appreciated. It is important to remind ourselves that we represent the Kemptville Live Music Festival (KLMF) in our volunteer role. Four years of planning and goodwill have gone into where we are today. While we are planning for our fifth annual event, we are also building our foundation for subsequent years. You are the face of the KLMF and many of the impressions formed about the event will be based on your behaviour and attitude as you fulfill your volunteer assignments.

This Festival is a “made-in Kemptville” event and it is our responsibility to ensure that we are all seen as ambassadors of the festival.

We expect, therefore, that in your volunteer role, you will behave professionally, with respect and courtesy in all interactions that you have with other volunteers, artists, patrons, officials, invited guests and VIPs.

When you are wearing the KLMF logo either on or off shift you are representing our organization and beliefs. The festival is also being built on a strong foundation of customer service and we expect that you maintain that quality as you represent the KLMF.

We expect that you will honour your assigned times and duties. The entire festival is being built on a basic foundation of having the right number of volunteers with the appropriate skills in place to ensure that the event will be successful.

The following list outlines some basic expectations for you to consider as you accept your Volunteer role:

• Each volunteer will be expected to attend mandatory meetings for training and protocol leading up to the event.

• Each volunteer is expected to work a minimum of three 4-hour shifts or a total of 12 hours.

• Be on time for the start of your volunteer assignment.

• Check into the Volunteer HQ before your initial shift to receive your T-shirt, Lanyard and admissions bracelet.

• Report to your “Lead” at the beginning of your shift.

• Respect the festival rules and protect the festival grounds.

• Be positive, polite and courteous to all with whom you are in contact.

• KLMF reserves the right to revoke volunteer privileges without notice and may prevent future volunteer participation.

You may be privy to confidential information before, during and after the festival and as such please respect the fact that the information you have was given to you in confidence and is to be used for KLMF purposes only.

The following actions and inappropriate behaviour by our volunteers will not be tolerated and will result in immediate revoking of your volunteer status and a request to exit the festival grounds:

• Carrying and/or consuming illegal substances on the festival venue.

• Consuming alcohol or cannabis during your volunteer shifts and /or intoxication during volunteer shifts or while wearing KLMF clothing.

• Using your phone or other electronics unless it is required for your volunteer shift.

• Addressing media inquiries on behalf of KLMF without authorization.

• Use of media or social media to discredit or compromise the success of KLMF.

• Conducting yourself in any way that is unsafe, inappropriate or prejudicial to the festival and the festival venue. This clause is very broad and may include but is not limited to:

• Violations of the KLMF Harassment Policy;

• Unsafe use of Festival vehicles and machinery;

• Theft or damage of Festival property or of property belonging to patrons and other volunteers;

• Rudeness to Festival guests including patrons, volunteers, artists and any other person on the venue;

• Willful damage of the Festival site;

• Unauthorized access to restricted areas;

• Unauthorized use of KLMF Volunteer T-shirts, ID lanyards and access wrist bands.

• Using your volunteer position to solicit for other causes or events.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF VOLUNTEER CODE OF CONDUCT

I have read and accept the expectations of the Kemptville Live Music Festival (KLMF) Volunteer Code of Conduct. I commit to delivering my best work in a pleasant manner while representing KLMF. I understand the behaviours and actions listed in the code of conduct deemed as inappropriate. I understand that engaging in those actions or any other actions deemed to be inappropriate by the KLMF organizers may result in my volunteer privileges for this and subsequent festivals being revoked without appeal and that I will be expected to leave the festival grounds without incident.
