Please complete this application form if you are interested in becoming a Second Chance for Animals volunteer.

We are looking for volunteers to help with cat cleaning, dog kennel cleaning and walking and adoption assistants at the shelter. Marketing and fundraising support opportunities are available outside of the shelter.

You are welcome to fill out the application and we will contact you to attend a virtual orientation.

You must be at least 18 years old to volunteer with Second Chance for Animals. All volunteers are asked to pay yearly dues of $15 (payable if you decide to become a volunteer after attending New Volunteer Orientation). New volunteers are also required to purchase a Second Chance for Animals volunteer t-shirt for $10.

Volunteer opportunities with hands on with animals are cat cleaning daily 10AM to 1PM, and dog walking (Tuesday through Saturday) 12:15 to 4PM (however there is a stringent process before you will; be allowed to walk dogs) other activities such as fundraising or marketing are not dependent on the hours of the shelter.

Second Chance asks for minimum time commitment of five hours a month and because of the time commitment involved in training our volunteers, asks that volunteers make at least a 6 month commitment to volunteering.

Sections marked with an * are required fields.

You must include a working email that you will use for communication with Second Chance for Animals. If you do not have email, we are very sorry but we will not accept you as a volunteer because that is how we communicate with volunteers.
