You understand that in the course of your volunteering within the Diocese of Venice that you receive and become aware of information from the pastor/administrator, employees, other volunteers, parishioners and others who are involved with the parish or school either directly or indirectly which is sensitive and confidential in nature.
In your capacity as a volunteer, you agree to keep all such information strictly confidential and further agree that you will not communicate, disclose, divulge or otherwise use, directly or indirectly, such information during and after your volunteer assignment with the Diocese of Venice or any individual Diocesan entity or group.
If your volunteer service is to include driving, a Motor vehicle record check will be required showing a driving record with less than 6 points and free of suspensions or DUI findings. Proof of insurance with liability limits of 100/300 is required on your auto insurance policy.
Depending on your volunteer role within the Diocese, fingerprinting and criminal history screening may be required. Safe Environment training may also be required if you will be interacting with minors and/or vulnerable adults.
The Diocese of Venice and all Diocesan Entities work diligently to provide a safe environment for all, and are committed to ongoing training and background screening for all employees, clergy and volunteers working among children and vulnerable adults.

If your volunteer application is approved, you will be required to comply with Policies, Procedures and Forms as part of your engagement with Diocese of Venice entity. These include, but are not limited to, Policy and Procedural Guidelines relating to protection of children and vulnerable adults, Code of Pastoral Conduct, Code of Conduct for Volunteers working with minors, and Attestation of Good Moral Character. These will be provided to you as part of your onboarding at the Parish or location you will be volunteering.
