C.A.R.E. Volunteer Acknowledgement

I understand that I must attend a volunteer orientation and sign C.A.R.E.'s liability waivers before volunteering. I have read and agree to the policies in C.A.R.E.'s Volunteer Handbook.

C.A.R.E. volunteers must be at least 18 years old to volunteer unaccompanied. Volunteers aged 12-17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is also an approved volunteer at all times. C.A.R.E. volunteers provide services in a variety of ways which may include working at our adoption center located at 1328 West Sunshine Street, assisting in mobile adoptions at an offsite location, or helping with fundraising efforts.

I understand that any animal may be unpredictable and may respond in different ways to human interactions. I understand that there are always risks involved when handling animals. I understand that C.A.R.E. nor its representatives are responsible for any illness or injury caused by any animals I come into contact with during volunteer work. *IT IS OUR RECOMMENDATION THAT YOUR TETANUS VACCINATION IS UP TO DATE BEFORE YOU BEGIN VOLUNTEERING*. I agree to hold harmless and release from liability C.A.R.E. should I become sick or injured as a result of my volunteer work.
