Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Rocky Mountain House Rabbit Rescue!
We are a 100% volunteer-driven organization, and every member of our diverse, bunny-loving team plays a crucial role in our mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and find loving forever homes for abandoned house rabbits.
We're so excited that you want to learn more about volunteering! Please fill out the form below, so we can get to know you a bit better.
Please provide the following information so we can contact you about volunteering at Rocky Mountain House Rabbit Rescue. Your contact information will be used for RMHRR purposes only, and will not be shared with any third parties.
At RMHRR, both adult and youth volunteers play important roles in almost all aspects of our organizational mission! We welcome volunteers age 8 or older, including students looking to fulfill school volunteer requirements.
Volunteers age 8-15 must have an adult volunteering with them at all times. The adult may be a parent, other family member, or friend.
Volunteers age 16-17 may only volunteer when adult RMHRR volunteers are present.
At RMHRR, volunteers give their time for a variety of purposes! From helping abandoned animals, to loving on bunnies in particular, to making new friends, to learning new skills - there are so many great reasons to volunteer at RMHRR!
Although we do generally ask new volunteers to start with bunny pen cleaning, we have a wide range of volunteer opportunities available! Are there any other types of positions or special skills you would be interested in incorporating into your volunteer role?
We ask all new volunteers to help with cleaning bunny pens for six months or six times. This will give you the opportunity to get to know our bunnies, and become more familiar with overall shelter operations. After six months or six times of cleaning, volunteers may apply for any of the wide range of volunteer opportunities we have available. (If you are unable to perform the cleaning tasks required, please let us know! We will work with you to find a starting position that will be a good fit.) NOTE: This requirement may be waived when we have an urgent need in another area!
We also ask all new volunteers to commit to a minimum of six months of volunteering. During this time, volunteers may serve in one or multiple roles, depending on interests.
Once you've completed the form above, please click on "Continue" to send it to us.
A member of the RMHRR volunteer team will contact you soon with more information on current opportunities and instructions on how to apply to be a volunteer.
Thank you again!
