***Effective January 4, 2021, in accordance with State of Minnesota guidelines, Minnesota Recovery Connection is the resuming onsite volunteer program with restrictions and safety protocol in place to reduce the risk of exposing its staff, volunteers, and participants to the Coronavirus. This onsite volunteer opportunity is optional and no volunteer is required to return onsite to fulfill volunteer commitments at this time. To avoid close contact onsite, we are limiting the number of volunteers onsite at any time to 2.***

Volunteers are the heart and soul of Minnesota Recovery Connection. We believe that systemic inequality disproportionately hurts the most marginalized people in society, including Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC), women, LGBTQ people, people with disabilities, and people who have been involved in the justice system. Minnesota Recovery Connection believes that these communities must be centered in the work we do in reducing stigma and shame arising due to racism. We strongly encourage people with these identities, people in recovery, and recovery allies (family, friend, or partner of a person in recovery) to volunteer with us to gain skills and experience.

If you need to complete community service hours that are required by a state, county, city, organization, or employer, please fill out this form and contact us at volunteercoordinator@minnesotarecovery.org or 612-584-4158.
