The South Florida Wildlife Center (SFWC) is a nonprofit organization that focuses on the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of injured, sick, and orphaned wild animals.
At SFWC, there are many opportunities for volunteers to learn about the hundreds of species of wildlife found in South Florida while helping them recover from injuries, illnesses, and the trauma of being orphaned.
SFWC's Volunteer Program requires a commitment of at least 8 hours per month and is only eligible for those 16 and older.
If you would like to proceed, please fill out this volunteer application. After reviewing your application, you will be invited to attend an orientation. If, after the orientation, we mutually determine this opportunity is a good fit, you will be asked to set up an interview to sign the necessary paperwork, review the positions available and authorize a background check. Once the background check result is in, you will be contacted to set up a schedule and start volunteering!
