Please complete this application if you are interested in volunteering with the Wildlife Rescue Center.
NOTE: The 2022 spring volunteer session in animal care is full. We will reach back out to approved animal care applicants for the summer session in June of 2022. We are still accepting applicants interested in grounds-keeping, maintenance, and habitat restoration.
You must be at least 18 years of age to work directly with any animals. Those wishing to volunteer in Animal Care must be able to commit to a minimum of one 5-8 hour shift per week, for 16 consecutive weeks.
Applicants between the ages of 14-17 may apply to volunteer on our Quality Care/Sustainability Team and our Habitat Restoration Team. Open positions in these areas may be limited depending on the needs of the Center and available Mentors.
All prospective volunteers are required to attend a New Volunteer Orientation, as well as training in their chosen area, before volunteering. To cover the cost of training and materials, all volunteers will be encouraged at that time to become a Wildlife Rescue Center Member at a cost of $28. If your financial situation will make this difficult, please let us know.
Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Wildlife Rescue Center. We hope to meet you soon!
