After you submit your form, you will need to attend Volunteer Information Session. These are held in the fall and spring. You will receive information about these sessions closer to the dates. (Note: If you are signing up for Inniswood Metro Garden or Slate Run Historical Farm, they offer a separate training. They will email when those are scheduled in the spring.)

Park Selection and Preference

Select your preferred type of volunteer activity. You may select as many activity types as you'd like. In addition, please select the park that you would like to volunteer in. After you have completed the volunteer application process you will be able to volunteer at more than one park if you'd like. To get started, we ask that you choose a primary park that you know you're most actively interested in pursuing volunteer opportunities with.Please note, Inniswood takes applications year round and conducts one training/orientation a year in the month of March. If you would like to volunteer with Metro Parks, outside this time-frame, please select an alternate park as your primary park.

Terms of Agreement

Ohio Law requires that volunteers who will have unsupervised access to children be provided notice that they may be required to provide a set of impressions of their fingertips and a criminal records check may be conducted.
