Health Issues

Do you have any physical, medical, emotional, or psychological limitations or disabilities that may affect your participation in certain volunteer activities? If yes, please describe.

* Working with animals can be very difficult emotionally and physically. We do not supervise volunteers who come to volunteer, so we expect everyone to be able to work completely independently. If you are not able to work independently with the animals then you must come with an aid who has also attended the orientation and trained with the animals. If you have questions about this, please email Volunteer@MLAR.org or call 610-933-0606.

If you need prescription medication in an emergency (allergies, seizures etc.) please let the volunteer coordinator know and share the location of your medication in case of emergency.

I have experince in or I am interested in learning

Have you had any prior experience at an animal shelter/animal welfare organization or in a related field? If yes, please describe the organization and your responsibilities. If you do not have experience, but are interested in helping in these areas please let us know.

Employer Information

Some employers have programs that would benefit MLAR. Would your employer be able to provide services or products to help the animals at MLAR? Does your employer promotes employee participation at nonprofit organizations by providing grants linked to individual volunteer involvement. Does your employer encourage you to share their "time and talent" with nonprofit organizations? Does your employer provide Volunteer Time Off(VTO)days to help? Ask! and let us know!
