Please know that all prospective volunteers must meet the approval of staff and board members. The Humane Society of Cambria County reserves the right to refuse volunteer work to any individual who does not qualify or meet the needs of our organization.
The volunteers who assist us take on a variety of roles to provide the best service and care possible to our animals and visitors from the community. There are many ways to help! From dog walking and cat cuddling, to doing dishes and yard maintenance, to participating in special events and serving on committees.
Before submitting your application, please review the following requirements:
Once submitted, your application will be reviewed by our Volunteer Coordinator who will then inform you, the applicant, of the approval or denial of your volunteer request.
If approved, you will meet with the Coordinator for Volunteer Orientation. They are scheduled every other week on Tuesdays from 5:00pm-5:30pm or Saturdays from 10:00am-11:30pm. You will also be required to complete further training for particular volunteer activities like our Dog Handling Class.
