Information Booth Volunteers must:
All training is done on-site at Mineta San José International Airport. New volunteers may be paired up with seasoned volunteers to gain experience.
This information is used only to help us get a better idea of the demographic make-up of our volunteers.
Note: You must be at least 16 years of age to volunteer. If you are a minor, you will need a work permit signed by your school and a parent/guardian. (This rule applies even if you are volunteering during Summer or Winter Break.) If applicable, you'll be asked to fill out the form called Request for Volunteer/Unpaid Trainee Authorization for Minors CDE Form B1-6(DOC). Please indicate the days and times you are usually available to volunteer.
Note: Each shift is three hours long. You'll be expected to work a minimum of three shifts (nine hours) per month. We require all volunteers to commit to at least six months of service.

COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing: Per Santa Clara County Public Health recommendations and the City of San José's COVID-19 Mandatory Vaccination and Testing Policy (https://www.sanjoseca.gov/home/showpublisheddocument/76359), the City requires all City workers to provide proof of vaccination as a condition of employment absent a documented medical and/or religious exemption. This mandate extends to permanent staff, contract employees, and volunteers.
