TSF staff members will receive your application and here are the next steps to get you started:

1. Your application will be processed and a background check will be run.

2. The volunteer coordinator will work with you to determine a volunteer role and schedule that works for you.

3. The volunteer coordinator will schedule an orientation before you start.

4. You can begin volunteering and will receive additional training on site.

Volunteer Services Policies and Procedures

Conflict of Interest:

The Sanneh Foundation volunteers are expected to maintain an appropriate professional relationship with the people they serve.

• Personal involvement beyond job responsibility is prohibited.

• Volunteers are discouraged from giving or receiving gifts to or from clients; however, token gifts are allowed.

• Distribution of political or religious materials is prohibited.


Confidentiality:

Sanneh Foundation Volunteers are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of all information related to clients. You may talk with others about your volunteer experience and The Sanneh Foundation, but do not use the client names or give any identifying information about the clients. Failure to maintain confidentiality may result in termination of the volunteer’s relationship with The Sanneh Foundation or other appropriate corrective action per TSF policies. Violations of this policy may also result in personal liability per TSF policies, Federal HIPAA or State of Minnesota Data Privacy laws.


Volunteer Agreement

I agree that the above information provided is accurate as of the completion date. I also understand that I will be asked to pass a criminal background check, sign a code of ethics and standards, civil rights and confidentiality form as well as additional paperwork prior to placement. I understand that acceptance to a TSF volunteer assignment is based on assessment by program staff and the availability of a suitable position for me. I also understand that submitting this application does not obligate me as a volunteer with The Sanneh Foundation. I release The Sanneh Foundation from liability in the event of injury during my volunteer activities.
