Thank you for your interest in becoming a PSPCA volunteer!
To begin making a difference in the lives of animals, please complete the form below. Once complete, please be sure to check the "I Agree" box and then click the "Continue" button.
**You must be 18 years of age or older to volunteer. We are not accepting any community service applicants. Please note that incomplete applications will not be accepted.**
Have you had any prior experience working with animals or volunteering for an animal shelter/animal welfare organization? If so, please describe.
Do you have experience or skills (including language fluency) you think could benefit The Pennsylvania SPCA? Let us know!
Volunteering to help homeless animals is very rewarding, but can also bring on some challenges. A volunteer needs to safely participate in our volunteer program. Please review our essential capabilities information on our website https://www.pspca.org/essentialcap.
There may be some opportunities for those who meet some requirements, but not others. If the areas you have chosen for volunteer activities are not compatible with your abilities, you may be reassigned to another area or you may not be able to volunteer with us.
Do you have any physical, medical, emotional, or psychological limitations that may affect your participation or require accommodation in volunteer activities? If so, please describe (include any allergy information)
Do you have any furry companions? Did you adopt them? Are they spayed/neutered? Why or why not?
Are you currently an intern looking for opportunities? We may have some openings for internships, if interested, depending on the department and skillset.
However, we are not accepting any community service volunteers for school or court appointed hours.
Once your application is reviewed and accepted, you will be invited to review an online Volunteer Orientation. Our Volunteer Orientation is a virtual learning experience where you get to learn about the volunteer opportunities the PSPCA has to offer, as well as how you can help our animal residents!
Once the online orientation is completed, you must email firstname.lastname@example.org, then you will attend an ONSITE orientation.
