Position Description:

Sea Turtle Hospital– Sea Turtle Hospital volunteers assist hospital staff with the daily care of the sea turtle patients. Hospital volunteers devote a large portion of their time to cleaning tanks and washing laundry and does not guarantee hands-on work with the patients. This position requires extensive training, detailed reporting and teamwork. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age or older and have graduated from high school. Applicants must be able to lift over 50 pounds, tolerate frequent bending and endure whatever the South Florida weather may bring. We do not maintain a waiting list for this position.

Morning Shift Times: 9:45am-1:30pm

Afternoon Shift Times: 1:15pm-5:15pm

*Volunteer shifts are scheduled on the same days and times weekly, i.e. Tuesday mornings, Thursday afternoons, etc.

6. Initial training often takes 3-5 weeks to complete. Are you able to consistently, and reliable attend your shift once a week for the duration of initial training, and regularly following?
