Why do you want this internship, and why do you want to work with Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation (WRR) in particular?
WRR does not use animals in education programs. We firmly disagree with using animals as public display and feel this places the animal under undeserved stress and sends a mixed message to the public suggesting wild animals can be tamed and made into good “pets.” WRR reveres animals as sentient beings, not “objects” or “things.” We never refer to animals as “it,” rather “he/she.” What are your thoughts on this philosophy?
Considering the ethical treatment of animals, please express your thoughts and opinions on the slaughterhouse industry.
