DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC we are only accepting applications thet meet the following requirements:

  • All volunteers must be fully vaccinated. Proof of vaccination is required.
  • Volunteers will be assigned to areas of most need.
  • All volunteers must be 18 years or older or be accompanied by an adult
  • For safety, wear comfortable casual clothing that allows for bending and stretching. Wear closed in shoes or sneakers.

Requirements

Current Volunteer Tasks:

 

Pantry Bag Packer:

  • Work assembly line style to fill pantry bags with food
  • Lift pantry bags onto shelves

Must be able to:

  • Work in a fast-paced environment
  • Do repetitive tasks, stretch, reach, bend
  • Stand for long periods of time
  • Cooperate with a team and follow directions
  • Lift 20lbs.

 

Produce Packing:

  • Work assembly line style to pack available vegetables and fruit.
  • Remove produce that shows signs of spoilage
  • Maintain a clean and organized area.

Must be able to:

  • Work in a fast-paced environment
  • Do repetitive tasks, stretch, reach, bend
  • Stand for long periods of time
  • Cooperate with a team and follow directions
  • Lift 20lbs.

 

Maintenance volunteer:

  • Perform regular cleaning duties, sweeping and mopping indoors/outdoors.
  • Collecting and breaking down boxes.
  • Removal of filled trash bags

Must be able to:

  • Work in a fast-paced environment
  • Do repetitive tasks, stretch, reach, bend
  • Stand for long periods of time
  • Cooperate with a team and follow directions
  • Lift 50lbs.

 

Kitchen volunteer:

  • Assist with the preparation of food, wash, chop, shred, slice ingredients as per cooks’ direction.
  • Assist with packing grab and go meals for distribution.
  • Re-stock supplies and food items as per kitchen cooks.

Must be able to:

  • Follow directions of kitchen staff.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment
  • Do repetitive tasks, stretch, reach, bend
  • Stand for long periods of time
  • Cooperate with a team and follow directions
  • Lift 20lbs.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines for food productions and kitchen environment. Hair nets, gloves and aprons must be worn
