Due to the unique nature of all volunteer placements at the House, it is our policy to not accept any volunteer placements by court-mandated referrals.
Ronald McDonald House does require a 6 month commitment from all Individual Volunteers. If you are looking for one-time opportunities, please review our group opportunities.

All volunteers serving in the House are required to wear a mask at all times for the protection of the immune compromised families we serve.
Volunteers who serve inside the House must also provide proof of COVID vaccination at the door in order to enter the house.

I agree to make a best effort to honor any commitments that I make as a volunteer and to advise RMHCA staff, if possible, in advance, if I am unable to do so. I agree to behave in a safe, professional and responsible manner while serving as a volunteer and to abide by all RMHCA policies, including policies regarding immunization, testing and personal background checks. I understand that my status as a volunteer can be terminated at the sole discretion of RMHCA. Individuals who volunteer at RMHCA do so at their own risk. Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alabama assumes no responsibility for directly supervising or assuring the safety of volunteers or their belongings during their visit to the House. Youth volunteers (under the age of 18) require permission of a parent or legal guardian. RMHCA extends no workers compensation, health, auto insurance or other benefits to volunteers.
