Crisis Line
Location: Domestic Violence Services-Grand Junction
Duties: Responsible for providing crisis intervention phone support and community resource information to individuals experiencing domestic violence.

Responsibilies include: answer crisis calls, make appropriate community and emergency referrals when necessary, contact on-call staff if in-person support or shelter access is needed. Email staff the crisis calls report for shift covered.
Qualifications: Completion of volunteer application and interview.
Successful completion of appropriate background screenings.
Must complete program orientation and position specific training: 15 hours of domestic violence training and 30 hours of sexual assault training.
Be available by phone for the duration of your assigned shift. (5pm-8am every scheduled evening and 24 hours on weekends).
Must maintain client and family confidentiality.
Be depenable and responsible.
Ability to be non-judgmental, tolerant, patient, empathetic, and handle stressful crisis situations.
Good listening and communication skills.
Attend semiannual trainings.
Computer and organization skills.
Abide by all Hilltop policies/procedures and code of conduct.
Notify supervisor if not able to make scheduled shift.
Report all concerns to supervior.
Complete and submit volunteer hours to supervisor monthly.
