Barn Work and Pony Rides
Location: Carousel Park and Equestrian Center Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteer Opportunities at Carousel Park
Duties: Barn Work Volunteers are needed to assist in the barn with daily upkeep and, dependent upon skill and experience, care of horses. Barn worker tasks could include some horse care, stall cleaning, tack care, and weeding and watering flower beds. (Minimum age 13).

Pony Ride Volunteers assist with public pony rides and Pony Parties. Tasks could include grooming and interacting with the ponies, leading ponies and walking beside riders during pony rides and parties. (Minimum age 13)(April-October).
Qualifications: No previous experience is required. Interest in and being comfortable around horses and people is a plus. Training is provided.
These tasks are somewhat physical. Tasks include bending and lifting up to 25 lbs.
Directions: Carousel Park is off of Limestone Road just north of Kirkwood Highway.
