Volunteer Opportunities at Carousel Park
Duties: Therapeutic riding volunteers assist riders who have cognitive and physical disabilities as they ride. Volunteer roles include leading and side walking. Leaders walk the horses during the lesson and Side walkers provide support and spot the riders,

Experience with horses and people with disabilities a plus. Note that the minimum age for therapeutic riding volunteers is 16 years for side walkers and 13 for leaders.
Qualifications: Training is provided. Experience with horses and/or working with people with cognitive or physical disabilities is helpful.
Directions: Carousel Park and Equestrian Center is off of Limestone Road north of the Kirkwood Highway.
