Description: Position Summary
The Volunteer Greeter is responsible for greeting and checking in clients.

Primary Duties and Essential Responsibilities
• Greet and check-in clients for their appointments.
• Make reminder calls for next-day appointments
• Provide Emergency Bags for clients.
• Ensure that lobby area is neat and orderly.
• Perform clerical duties: make copies, open and lock doors
• Restock bathrooms at end of shift.
• Answer questions
• Provide excellent customer service

Skills and Qualifications:
• Must be 16+
• Computer skills
• Customer service skills
• Comfortable interacting with people of all ages and cultural backgrounds
• Strong desire to eradicate hunger in Dakota County
• Spanish Language skills helpful, but not necessary

Training and Support
Attending a volunteer orientation is required before volunteering. Greeters are emailed a schedule prior to first volunteer shift. Training is provided on site by staff and/or shadowing other volunteers.
Staff will be available throughout the entire volunteer shift.

Commitment (time, duration and location)
Volunteer Greeters are located at the Eagan Pantry location, 3904 Cedar Grove Parkway. Volunteer shifts are 2.5 hours long. Weekday morning, afternoon and evening opportunities are available. There is no requirement of volunteer shifts each month.
