Event Photographer/Videographer
Location: Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge
Interpretation-Education-Outreach
Duties: Volunteer takes digital photos/videos of visitor/volunteer activities and/or special events, using their own camera, for use in refuge brochures, flyers, publications, interpretive signs or special programs.
Qualifications & Time Commitment: Must complete a volunteer orientation with the volunteer coordinator prior to volunteering. Volunteer should have adequate photographic ability and be able to carry a project to completion and work independently. Must fill out a photo copyright agreement when submitting work to the refuge. When working with the public, volunteer must have good communication skills and the ability to work with a variety of people, act as an ambassador to the refuge, and collect photo release forms from the public when appropriate.

Photographs and videos are requested as needed. Photographer would be given advance notice of a project or event.
Job Hazards: Potential hazards for this role include outdoor hazards such as scratches from plants (may include thorns and nettles), rash from poison ivy, tick/insect bites/stings, exposure to the elements, or sunburn. Other potential hazards include injury from slips, trips and falls, blisters or foot problems could occur from walking, strain from bending and lifting, or injury from incidental encounters with wildlife. There is also a potential hazard of working with the public if they become hostile.
