Friends on Call
Location: Memorial Health (includes Springfield-area and hospice)
Friends of Memorial
Duties: Participate in sporadic volunteer opportunities as needs arise throughout the year, such as with special events, projects, seminars, and other miscellaneous needs throughout Memorial.

Traditional volunteers will be considered first for clerical and recruitment-related tasks. These tasks will be offered to "Friends on Call" if the Traditional volunteer program cannot accommodate the need.

Needs generally:
- are outside of the medical center;
- are short-term or one-time-only opportunities;
- have varying dates and times;
- are public-facing;
- can be accepted or declined based on your availability at that time;
- are filled on a first come, first served basis.
Qualifications: No training is required.
Must have service activity within 12 months to remain on committee.
Restrictions & Openings: Volunteers in this area are not allowed to:
Serve in assignments for the Traditional volunteer program without completing orientation/onboarding in its entirety.
