Socialization
Duties: Socialize pets in need of extra attention, to come out of their shell, or to release extra energy. Pay attention if dog is heartworm positive or any other needs of the pets.
Qualifications: Must be able to recognize animal body language and behavior
Fearful animals may react out in aggression if feel threatened, always watch for signs of fear
Do not force any interactions, always let the pet engage with you.
Bring treats and toys to gain pets trust
Provide a quiet, nurturing environment for pet to gain your trust
Directions: Help give extra attention or enrichment to the animals that desperately need it! Whether they are high energy or frightened, give these animals some attention that will help them towards getting adopted! Please refer to adoptions staff on which animals are under socialized and need more attention.
