Duties: MUST be able to commit to the same 3-4 hour shift each week (shifts available 7 days a week).

A. Greet and check visitors in.
B. Escort visitors to the correct department or patient room.
C. Answer phones and direct calls.
D. Assist with light administrative tasks, such as stuffing envelopes or folders.
E. Complete all annual volunteer training updates and surveys.
F. Attend volunteer support meetings and education as needed.
G. Adhere to all guidelines, policies and procedures.

Special Requirements:
A. Must able to hand a busy environment
B. Work independently, friendly and caring
C. Detailed oriented, organizational skills
D. Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in a variety of settings, including by phone
Qualifications: A. Satisfactorily completes required initial hospice training.
B. Meets all application and screening requirements, including personal references, criminal background check, and TB test.
C. Signs confidentiality statement, possess effective communication skills
D. Willing to function as a supportive team member. Is reliable and punctual.
E. Comfortable with death and the dying process. Has no significant personal loss within the previous year.
F. Must be at least 16 years of age
