Senior Pet Connection
Location: Humane Society of Pinellas
Duties: DRIVERS:
Deliver food and supplies, interact with clients while adhering to CDC safety guidelines, observe and assess the wellness of their pet(s).

Route Drivers:
•Load vehicle at the animal shelter with prepared supply bags for clients on the assigned route.
•Deliver bags to each client on the route using personal vehicle.

Meds Drivers: (on call)
•Respond to requests for assistance from HSP staff in a timely manner as medication delivery can be time-sensitive.
•Pick-up items at the HSP Pet Hospital located near the shelter.
•Deliver the items to the client using personal vehicle.

Route Packers:
•Fill and stage bags for each client with specific items per route packing sheet including: bags of dry food, cans of wet food, litter, potty pads, treats, flea meds, etc.
•Take inventory of food and supplies.
•Tolerant of loud noise and strong odors.

•Meet vendors at side gate of shelter to receive weekly delivery.
•Unload vehicle, transport (in carts), and re-stock supply room.
•Tolerant of loud noise and strong odors.
Qualifications: •Must be at least 18 years old.
•Ability to follow all safety protocols, instructions and procedures with minimal supervision.
•Ability to communicate and work well with the public, staff and other volunteers.
•Comfortable working within a shelter environment.
•Must have dependable transportation
•Must be able to receive email

1.Complete telephone meet and greet with Volunteer Coordinator
2.Complete onsite meeting/training session with outreach coordinator.
3.Attend volunteer meetings and additional training as needed.
Directions: Schedule is flexible
Route Drivers will be assigned a regular route once per month

•Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods.
•Ability to bend, stoop, carry, lift or move up to 40lbs.
