Sustainability Project/Clean Water Volunteer
Location: Sustainability
Purpose: Assist with various water protection, education, and pollution prevention initiatives.
Qualifications/Desired Skills: Basic interest/knowledge in water protection and pollution prevention. Interest/ability to talk to businesses, property owners, and visitors about water. Master Water Steward certification a plus.
Service Duties: Duties generally fall into four main categories;

• Education/outreach volunteer: conducts presentations, organizes education campaigns, conducts site visits with residents, businesses, and various faith/school/sport/service/lake groups
• Events volunteer: Support for events including the Water Resources Booth at the annual Open Streets event, Storm Drain Stenciling events, community clean-up events
• Neighbor Support volunteer: Provides assistance to homeowners regarding raingardens, native gardens, rain barrels, down spout audits
• Laborer: Assists with buckthorn removal, tree planting, raingarden weeding
