Stuck in your current database? We can help you jump-start your volunteer information management efforts by converting key volunteer information from your current system into Volgistics.

We can transfer key volunteer information into 'empty' Volgistics accounts, so you should not start entering any information into Volgistics, or customizing your Volgistics account until after we transfer your key volunteer information.

Here's how it works

	You obtain a Jump-Start Service request number, and then send us your current volunteer database or spread sheet files.
	We examine your current information to be sure we can transfer your key volunteer information, and determine what your Jump-Start service fee would be.
	You complete your Jump-Start Service order by making payment arrangements at the secure Volgistics Store.
	Once you've placed your order we move the key volunteer information from your old system into your Volgistics account, making any required customizations as we go.
	You check the key volunteer information we've converted to be sure it's complete, and then start adding additional information, new volunteers, and making additional customizations to your account. You're on your way!

The base cost for the Jump-Start Service is $500. There are additional charges for organizations that would like to convert from multiple databases, or that wish to re-run a conversion which has already been performed. More Information

Questions & Answers

I've already started adding information in Volgistics, can I still use the Jump-Start Service?

Not without clearing your account. The Jump-Start Service is designed for organizations that are just getting started with Volgistics. Any information or customizations you've already made to your Volgistics account must be cleared before we can transfer your key volunteer information. If you're already at a point where you've entered information that you don't want to clear, consider using the Import Utility to transfer some or all of your old records. We cannot perform the Jump-Start Service on accounts that already contain data you want to keep.

What if I don't want to convert all of the volunteers from my current database?

You should delete any volunteer records from your current database that you don't want to appear in Volgistics before you send us your files.

Will my information be secure and private?

Volgistics respects and safeguards the confidentiality of all data received for conversion.

The Jump-Start Upload page uses 128-bit secured-socket layer (SSL) data encryption: the same level of encryption used in online banking. With SSL, your data files are encrypted - or scrambled - as they travel from your computer to the Volgistics data center.

Once we receive your data files we safeguard them with the same physical and network security, and privacy policy used to keep your Volgistics database safe. We destroy the data files you send for conversion once your Jump-Start is complete.

Can I use the Jump-Start Service with a trial account?

You can obtain a Jump-Start Service request number and send us your old database for assessment under a trial account, however you must upgrade to a paid account before we can complete your Jump-Start Service conversion. When you upgrade to a paid account be sure to choose a service level that provides enough space for the number of volunteer records you expect to convert from your old database. For example, if your old data contains 450 volunteer records, choose a Volgistics Service level that provides space for at least 450 volunteers.
